Recommend_The Architecture of happiness_by Alain de Botton

Even though I have no time to write an introduction or opinion for this book, I can't wait to recommend it. Alain, the author, describes carefully and clearly about how we feel and be touched by the beauty of a building. What's more, he infers how the outside environment, believe it or not, affects our minds without notice. That's why we become more romantic while traveling in Paris and become wild when in Brazil.

The most interesting part is that the author thinks the failure of an archtecture is not necessarily because of its design but its misdecipherment of mentel demand. This kind of mistake could probably lead us to failure in a marriage or unsatisfaction in a vacation if not expressed in terms of woods or cement.

It's been a long time haven't read a book that could inspire me in so many aspects. I believe the concept to understand an architecture could also been applied to many different visual arts such as modern dance or abstract paintings. The link between viewing the shape of an object and gushing emotional feelings in our minds could possibly help us to form another beautiful shape, no matter by drawing or other forms, to expression our thoughs. That's what I believe is called the forming of an art piece. Suddenly, it becomes so much easier to approach these ambiguous things. That's the magic of this book.
